INSURRECTION: Sherrill urges N.J. residents to log ICE sightings in official state portal

By Matt Rooney

This is next-level dangerous behavior, Save Jerseyans.

Mikie Sherrill continued her media tour on Wednesday night, and our newly-minted governor delivered her most alarming comments to date concerning President Trump’s efforts to restore the rule of law in Minnesota.

“We are also going to be standing up a portal so people can upload all their cellphone videos and alert people,” Sherrill told Comedy Central’s The Daily Show. “If you see an ICE agent in the street, get your phone out. We want to know.”

Is Governor Sherrill trying to create more Renee Goods and Alex Prettis? Right here in New Jersey?

It’s hard to come to any other conclusion.

According to NJ.com, state officials say “[r]eports submitted to New Jersey’s system would have to be reviewed by the state Office of the Attorney General for potential state-level violations of the law.” I don’t think Mikie Sherrill’s AG attempting to prosecute ICE officers will improve the overall situation.
