ICE says criminal illegal alien tried to run over officer in Roxbury, N.J.

Mikie Sherrill’s acting AG quickly took to X and asked New Jerseyans to dime out ICE, but as details emerged from an ICE interaction in Morris County earlier Tuesday, Save Jerseyans, a very different picture than the one the Sherrill Administration would prefer to paint began to emerge…

Here are the details per a DHS spokesperson:

“On February 10th, ICE was conducting a targeted enforcement to arrest Jesus Fabian Lopez-Banegas, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras. His criminal history includes drug trafficking charges, drug possession, and driving under the influence. In 2021, a judge issued this criminal illegal alien an order of removal.

“In an attempt to evade arrest, Lopez-Banegas rammed into a law enforcement vehicle and weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run an officer over.

“Following his training, the officer defensively used his firearm and shot out the tires of the vehicle to stop the threat. Thankfully, no one was injured. Officers arrested Banegas and took him into ICE custody.

“Our officers are facing a 3,200% increase in vehicle attacks and a more than 1,300% increase in assaults against them as they put their lives on the line to arrest vicious criminal illegal aliens.”
