Conover Road Primary School in Colts Neck, New Jersey might soon be named after the 45th (and 47th) President of the United States.
The suggestion was made by Colts Neck Township School Board member Robert Scales on Wednesday. “What person is doing things that protects our school?” Scales explained, arguing for the Kindergarten through Second Grade school to be named after Trump.
Situated in Monmouth County, Colts Neck went for President Trump in 2024 by a better than 2-to-1 margin. The district recently hosted a visit from U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon. Colts Neck is also home to one of President Trump’s three New Jersey golf courses (the other two are in Pine Hill and, of course, Bedminster).
If it happens, the current Conover Road Primary would be the first school in the U.S. to be named after President Trump.
