Report: Menendez Fundraising Email Surfaces in Granite State Senate Contest

Bob Menendez remains at the center of his own donor flap, Save Jerseyans, but that apparently hasn’t stopped him from fundraising for other U.S. Senate Democrats.
WMUR-TV New Hampshire politics reporter James Pindell tweeted today that a Menendez email went out to supporters of incumbent Sen. Jeanne Shaheen over the weekend. The kicker? Menendez reportedly said that Shaheen “shares” our “values.”
New Hampshire Republicans will have fun asking Shaheen which values, exactly, she shares with the scandal-plagued New Jerseyan. Shaheen faces reelection in 2014.
Menendez was already fertile attack territory for the Granite State GOP. Back in March, the New Hampshire GOP called on Senator Shaheen, who is also a member of Menendez’s Foreign Relations Committee, to return a $7,500 from the Senator’s New Millennium PAC.
