Hundreds rally for life on the New Jersey State House’s steps

Newly-inaugurated Governor Phil Murphy (D-N.J.) has made restoring Planned Parenthood’s taxpayer funding a central tenant of his first term agenda, but a hostile administration only served to embolden the hundreds of participants at Monday’s Pro Life rally sponsored by New Jersey Right to Life (NJRTL).

An unusually mild January day on the banks of the Delaware River helped swell enthusiasm for the annual gathering alongside the New Jersey State House’s street-facing facade.

The attendees, bearing signs noting that even early-stage fetuses are capable of feeling pain, heard from a litany of speakers perched on the State House’s steps including Republican members of the state legislature, leaders of the regional pro-life movements, candidates for federal office and SaveJersey.com Blogger-in-Chief Matt Rooney.
