TRENTON, N.J. – Phil Murphy is ordinarily one of the Democrat Party’s most vocal anti-Trump critics on issues ranging from immigration to gun policy, but the New Jersey Governor extended his gratitude to the Republican Administration on Wednesday morning for its response to Tuesday’s Jersey City shootings.
“I spoke with @realDonaldTrump last night about yesterday’s shootings in Jersey City and thanked him for the swift response of the federal government, including the @FBI and @ATFHQ. We’re grateful for the President’s offer of continued assistance on this case,” tweeted Murphy.
