Kean, Isemann locked in a runoff battle after first Morris GOP ballot

27-year-old first-time candidate John Isemann is making a play at Friday night’s Morris GOP convention, coming within twelve-votes of former Senator Tom Kean Jr. and forcing a runoff.

Kean (48 votes), who already has the Hunterdon line, and Isemann (36) finished ahead of Assemblyman Erik Peterson (23) and former Pastor Phil Rizzo (20).
