Tom Kean Jr. continued his sweep of county conventions on Tuesday night with a decisive win in Somerset. The ex-senator finished with 85 votes well ahead of Assemblyman Erik Peterson (47 votes) and John Isemann (10 votes).
While Kean was always heavily favored to win the Somerset endorsement, some had thought a closer race could materialize after the Morris GOP convention went to a second ballot.

Kean previously received the endorsement of Hunterdon, Morris, and Union counties. No other NJ-07 GOP hopeful has won a county line.
