To the surprise of no one, Save Jerseyans, Governor Phil Murphy is blaming someone (or something) other than the guilty parties responsible for last Saturday’s near-riot in Long Branch.
Specifically, his favorite whipping boy for everything:
Covid-19.
“You’re coming out of a pandemic where people are desperate to get back out and scream from the highest mountains and get back in with other people,” Murphy mused during a Monday visit to the College of New Jersey. “I get that and we have to figure out responsible ways for that to happen.”
Remember: the Covid-19 public health emergency ended months ago (by law) and arguably two years ago (in practical terms).
But what else would you expect from the most anti-cop governor in New Jersey history?
