New York Mets pitcher Chris Bassitt landed on the COVID-19 list on July 1st. He missed a big start against the Texas Rangers and now says he regrets reporting anything.
“I probably won’t (again),” Bassitt told reporters on Thursday. “There’s no way. There’s no reason.”
“It’s ridiculous we’re still doing it,” Bassitt added referring to the MLB COVID protocol regime. “Stop testing it. Stop acting like COVID is far worse than a lot of other things. I’m not trying to get too much into it, but I was never sick, never had a symptom. So, sitting out for two weeks or a week for zero symptoms, I don’t know.”
