With record inflation raging this Christmas, it’d be very helpful if New Jersey adjusted tax brackets to account for inflation (like the federal government).
Reina Smrdelj, a legislative analyst at the Assembly Republican Office, says the current situation wrought by Trenton’s Democrat majority is akin to “a bad banana with a greasy black peel.” Over the past 12 months alone, New Jersey living expenses have increased by an average of $8,900 while the average worker’s income is only up $3,700. It’s math that even the Grinch couldn’t argue with!
