VIDEO: Trump addresses supporters post-arrest at Bedminster, N.J. golf club

President Trump returned to his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club around 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday evening after being formally arrested and arraigned in a Southern Florida courtroom earlier in the day.

“They will fail. We will win,” the former president promised to a loud ovation.

The frontrunner for the 2024 GOP nomination, who had arrived at Newark Liberty International Airport from Miami a short time beforehand, also previewed his defense in the 37-count federal indictment brought by Jack Smith, a prominent cog in Joe Biden’s weaponized Department of Justice.

“They were full of newspapers, press clippings, thousands of pictures, thousands and thousands of White House pictures. The White House photographer, some are with us today, they took so many pictures and we saved all of them and they were in those boxes, clothing, memorabilia and much much more,” Trump told a robust crowd of supporters. “I hadn’t had a chance to go through all the boxes. It’s a long, tedious job, takes a long time, which I was prepared to do, but I have a very busy life.”
