N.J. school district cancels Halloween in the name of inclusivity

The New Jersey education establishment wants to teach 1st Graders about transgenderism but believes Halloween is a bit too much?

Apparently! In at least one North Jersey district.

“Each year, questions arise from families, students, and staff about what SOMSD schools will be doing regarding Halloween,” wrote South Orange and Maplewood School District Superintendent Ronald Taylor in an October 6th letter to parents. “We believe it is important, moving forward, that we implement a consistent approach that is respectful and inclusive of all families.”

The letter confirms that the district “will not have any Halloween-themed events at any SOMSD schools during school hours” after explaining that the administration considered questions including “[d]oes the promotion of school-sponsored Halloween activities create tensions with the equity and access values of SOMSD?”

It’s getting harder and harder to be a kid, Save Jerseyans. That’s no more true anywhere than in New Jersey public schools.
