Polling misses happen, Save Jerseyans! We know this.
But all of the polling – public and private/internal – shared to date for the 2025 New Jersey gubernatorial primary cycle tells the same story:
- Jack Ciattarelli is commandingly ahead in the GOP contest
- Mikie Sherrill is the Democrat frontrunner, but it’s still competitive
The latest data comes form the Rutgers-Eagleton poll…
Jack Ciattarelli pulls support from 42% of the Republican-leaning voters surveyed by Eagleton. Bill Spadea (12%) and Jon Bramnick (4%) are far back in the pack, and former Englewood Cliffs Mayor Mario Kranjac failed to register. It is notable that 34% of those asked report being undecided, but that could mean a significant percentage simply don’t vote and, even if they do, a strong majority would need to break in a single way towards a single non-Ciattarelli candidate to change the overall dynamic.
Mikie Sherrill (17%) leads the Democrats but Steve Fulop (12%) isn’t hopelessly behind. Sean Spiller (10%) is the only other Democrat to reach double digits; with 32% of Democrat-leaners still undecided, the race theoretically remains wide open.
