U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba reports that Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, a Democrat candidate for governor, is under arrest after allegedly trespassing at an ICE detention facility after having “ignored multiple warnings from Homeland Security Investigations to remove himself from the ICE detention center in Newark, New Jersey this afternoon.”
“He has willingly chosen to disregard the law,” said Habba, continuing on to explain that “that this will not stand in our state.”
