President Donald Trump offered a renewed full-throated endorsement of Jack Ciattarelli, whom he referred to as a “friend,” during Monday night’s “tele-rally” on the eve of the beginning of Early Voting.
“New Jersey is ready to pop out of that blue horror show, and really get in there and vote for somebody that’s going to make things happen,” Trump declared during his brief remarks. “I’m asking you to get out and vote for a true champion for the people of your state.”
Trump dismissed Democrat “lunatics” for supporting sanctuary statehood and urged New Jerseyans to make a change.
“Jack has what it takes to win,” POTUS continued. “He has my complete and total endorsement.”
Trump also took a not-so-ambiguous shot at Republican primary candidate Bill Spadea who recently aired an ad which suggests Trump is actually supportive of Spadea based on a 2024 interview. “Other people are going around saying I endorse them — that’s not true,” Trump clarified without specifically naming Spadea. “Jack Ciattarelli has my complete and total endorsement.”
Ciattarelli, a retired businessman and former Assemblyman, thanked the President for his critical backing.
“We’re so very grateful for his active involvement in this campaign,” said Ciattarelli, the party’s 2021 nominee who fell only 3-points short of defeating Phil Murphy. “He’s going to help us with a win this November and send a powerful message to the entire country that New Jersey is turning red.”
Early voting in New Jersey begins on Tuesday and continues through Sunday; Primary Day is June 10th.
