Shortly before the July 4th weekend, the Super PAC “Change NJ” (formerly “Kitchen Table Conservatives” during the primary cycle) launched a seven-figure digital ad campaign roasting Democrat gubernatorial nominee Mikie Sherrill for profiting from questionable trades, some of which were closely connected to her work as a Congresswoman on Capitol Hill.
The ad – “More money for Mikie. Less money for us” – specifically highights money that Mikie made from trading defense stocks while simultaneously serving as a member of the U.S. House Armed Services Committee.
“The NY Times reported that Sherrill did actively trade defense stocks while sitting on the committee that oversees them – General Dynamics, Airbus, Honeywell, Raytheon,” explains the narrator. “Worse? While Mikie made millions, she voted to cut the child tax credit in half and raise taxes seventeen hundred dollars for middle-class families.”
