
Compounding hateful partisanship with finger-pointing cowardice is a particularly awful look, Save Jerseyans.
After getting roasted online for failing to lower its flags to half-staff in honor of Charlie Kirk, Bergen County’s Democrat government issued a statement which essentially blames Phil Murphy for not making them do it.
“Bergen County’s policy is to follow the State of New Jersey’s daily flag status,” the county’s social media page deflected, adding that the county “condemns all forms of political violence.”
New Jersey and New York were two of the only states in the country with governors who did not adhere to President Trump’s proclamation and order state flags lowered in honor of the assassinated Charlie Kirk. The third abstaining state – to the surprise of no one – was California.
