New Jersey’s registered voter mix didn’t change much in December 2025, Save Jerseyans, but the change in the trend may be worth noting.

In battleground NJ-07, Republicans lost 33 votes while Democrats added 206. Congressman Tom Kean Jr. is waiting to see who from a large field of Democrats while challenge him in a Central Jersey district that went very narrowly for Mikie Sherrill in November.
The potentially significant part: Republicans gained on Democrats almost every month following Joe Biden’s victory in 2020; the reversal could indicate a shift of momentum after years of small but steady GOP registration gains. Democrats once boasted an over one million edge which gradually fell to the mid-800,000 range across all 21 counties.
Cory Booker and all 12 members of the U.S. House are on the ballot this year in addition to a number of down-ballot county and local races.
The legislature isn’t on the ballot again until 2027.
