Insurrection is spreading, Save Jerseyans.
Amid the ongoing turmoil in Minnesota, the Lame Duck New Jersey Legislature took up Sanctuary Statehood on Monday evening. New Jersey has been a sanctuary jurisdiction by attorney general directive since 2018, but one of the three bills (A6310) codifies required local law enforcement to obstruct federal immigration authorities’ efforts in state statute.
A6308 “requires the Attorney General to develop model policies on how certain locations interact with federal civil law enforcement to ensure that all people have access to hospitals, public schools, shelters, disaster and emergency response sites, funeral homes, courthouses, and places of worship.”
A6309 provides “government entities and health care facilities are prohibited from requesting or collecting information relating to a person’s immigration status, place of birth, social security number, and individual taxpayer identification number unless it is strictly necessary to assess eligibility for, or to administer, a requested public service, benefit, or program.”
The Senate hadn’t voted on the three bills as of 6:45 on Monday evening but the legislation is expected to pass the Democrat-controlled chamber.
The Democrat legislature’s seditious decision is likely to ignite renewed conflict between the Republican presidential administration and the home state of three Trump golf clubs including Bedminster.
“…some State and local officials nevertheless continue to use their authority to violate, obstruct, and defy the enforcement of Federal immigration laws. This is a lawless insurrection against the supremacy of Federal law and the Federal Government’s obligation to defend the territorial sovereignty of the United States,” President Trump declared in an April 2025 executive order. “Beyond the intolerable national security risks, such nullification efforts often violate Federal criminal laws, including those prohibiting obstruction of justice (18 U.S.C. 1501 et seq.), unlawfully harboring or hiring illegal aliens (8 U.S.C. 1324), conspiracy against the United States (18 U.S.C. 371), and conspiracy to impede Federal law enforcement (18 U.S.C. 372). Assisting aliens in violating Federal immigration law could also violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (18 U.S.C. 1961 et seq.). Some measures to assist illegal aliens also necessarily violate Federal laws prohibiting discrimination against Americans in favor of illegal aliens and protecting Americans’ civil rights.”
