The next time a New Jersey Democrat tells you how much they care about people, Save Jerseyans, remember what Asm. Al Barlas (R-40) forced them to admit during this week’s Lame Duck session spend-o-rama.
Barlas offered up an amendment to the $128 million supplemental spending bill which would have restored the cuts made by Democrats in addition to $1 million for SNAP benefits. How would it have been paid for? Rescinding the $26 million allotted to a FIFA host committee (lead by Phil Murphy’s wife, Tammy Murphy) ahead of this year’s World Cup festivities at the Meadowlands.
Democrats promptly tabled Barlas’s amendment in a party-line vote.
