UPDATE: DHS confirms ICE detainers for non-citizens following death of baby in Jackson, N.J.

JACKSON TOWNSHIP, N.J. – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) says two women being held at Ocean County jail are illegal aliens.

The apparent confirmation came via the Department’s official X account, 72 hours after a fatal crash in Jackson, New Jersey that killed a 9-year-old baby boy who was being pushed in a stroller by his mother alongside his sibling.

“An innocent baby would still be alive today had it not been for Joe Biden’s DISASTROUS open border policy that released MILLIONS of illegal aliens into our country,” explained the official account. “New Jersey must honor ICE’s detainers on these two criminal illegal aliens to take them out of American communities once and for all.”

New Jersey is a sanctuary state, so it is unclear whether the detainers will be honored in this case.
