TONE DEAF: Kim touts M&M after company pulls up stakes, cuts 307 Newark jobs

The M&M was invented in Newark back in 1941, Save Jerseyans. 85 years later? Mars Wrigley is shuttering its 110,000-square-foot Ironside Newark headquarters and cutting 307 local jobs.

Did Andy Kim miss it?

New Jersey’s junior senator dropped a tone deaf social media post on Tuesday, bragging about the state’s history with the iconic candy brand but making no mention of company’s flight from Essex County:

I sincerely doubt he even knew!

Which says it all, doesn’t it?

Our representatives in Congress are, with few exceptions, performative clowns with knowledge about their state and its people that runs approximately one inch deep. Andy is their ultimate class representative.
