Bennett Can’t Name a Single House Dem She Wouldn’t Support in Ugly NJ-07 Debate Performance

RAHWAY, N.J. – Rebecca Bennett had an opportunity to draw a line between herself and her party’s far-Left wing during Sunday’s NJ-07 debate.

She couldn’t name a name.

Asked by moderator David Wildstein to identify one incumbent member of her own party whom she couldn’t support if she lived in that member’s district, the Democrat challenging Republican Congressman Tom Kean Jr. failed to identify anyone, pivoting instead to a recitation of her military record.

It wasn’t a request for a comprehensive policy paper, Save Jerseyans. It was a straightforward test of political independence: Is there anyone in your party who goes too far? Particularly at a time when Democrats are running socialists, Islamic extremists, and in some cases open communists in races across the country and up-and-down the ballot.

The exchange, highlighted by RNC Research on X, gives Republicans fresh ammunition as they question Bennett’s willingness to break with the Democratic Party’s ideological extremes. When offered a chance to demonstrate where her support ends, Bennett left voters without a name:

For a candidate seeking to represent NJ-07, that’s a revealing missed opportunity.

Claiming independence is easy. Showing voters where you draw the line requires an answer.

Kean seized the opportunity to remind voters of an example of Bennett’s extremism: when the Democrat nominee shared that she stopped going to Church because she couldn’t stand to share a pew with Trump voters…
