Beginning in the Summer of 2008, Matt Rooney’s The Save Jersey Blog helped launch a genuine Christie Revolution.
As a result, what started as a humble state-based online journal quickly garnered national attention as Chris Christie transformed from a corruption-busting U.S. attorney to an American political icon.
The Save Jersey Team has since expanded to include approximately one dozen other, diverse and talented contributors.

The Washington Post website includes Save Jersey in its Political Blog Network; in 2009, 2011 and 2013, Chris Cillizza of the extremely popular Washington Post blog The Fix named Save Jersey one of the United States’s top state-based political websites. We’ve also been profiled by The Philadelphia Inquirer, recognized as one of “New Jersey’s Best Twitter Feeds” by the Newark Star-Ledger, and Matt Rooney was specifically recognized as a “rising star” in New Jersey politics by Gannett’s multiple state-based newspapers and a top politics and policy tweeter by NJSpotlight for his work at Save Jersey.
Day in and day out, Save Jerseyans continue to drive the dialogue in their municipalities, county seats, the halls of Trenton and beyond…
