Christmas Has Come Early; Dems Elect Pelosi Leader

The Democrats in Congress have just elected soon-to-be-former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi to be their Minority Leader when the two parties switch sides in January. This announcement has officially made my day. Not only can a new, more conservative House of Representatives spend the next two years offering alternatives to the Obama agenda that will actually help the economy and shrink the government in this country, but politically, the Republicans can still run against the same Obama-Pelosi-Reid team that were so strongly repudiated by the voters in the mid terms.

Democrats make it a point to constantly remind us that this past election was not a ringing endorsement of Republicans or even conservatism, and honestly they may be right about that. However, if it wasn’t the American people renewing their love in the GOP, it most certainly was a complete rejection of the policies and the leaders of the liberals in government. Those at the top of the Democrat Party are completely out of step with the average American voter, and by electing Nancy Pelosi to be their leader yet again, the rank and file has just shown they are simply the same. No more claims that this Democrat Party is a collection of individuals in some big tent. They are all big government liberals now.

So to the Democrats in Congress, thank you for the gift, we wont forget it.

  1. How novel…a republican idea to help the economy. Something they haven't tried in 2 years. Now they have to. It will be interesting to see what they do since they can't say no all the time now.
