OPERATION: SAVE THE STATE HO– USE continues today in earnest, Save Jerseyans, as we head waaay north on the New Jersey Turnpike to a place as big as it is beautiful: Bergen County.
Once boots are on the ground, our Managing Editor Brian McGovern will interview LD38 State Senate challenger and current Freeholder Director John Driscoll, Jr. (R-Bergen). Most “insiders” I’ve spoken with on the topic consider LD38 to be the NJGOP’s best chance for an upper chamber pick up on November 8th. A Republican victory over Bob Gordon isn’t hard to imagine given the rapid resurrection of Bergen Republicanism since Driscoll ascended to the Freeholder Board in 2009. It’s been an ugly nightmare for post-Ferriero Democrats ever since… and couldn’t happen to nicer people!
