Save Rutgers: William Brown Stands Up For Veterans in Board Testimony

Did you happen to catch my four hour live coverage of the Rutgers Board of Governors meeting yesterday? Over 40 members of the public testified at the meeting. Each was supposed to be restricted to 2 minutes, and almost every single person went over. It was a long, long meeting.

One of the highlights of the testimony was William Brown, a colleague of mine at the Rutgers School of Law. Brown, a Democrat who usually finds himself on the opposite side of issues with Save Jersey, has been one of the outspoken critics of the Rutgers/Rowan merger plan right along side us.

Brown, a former Navy SEAL, has been an advocate for veterans at the school and how a plan like this would affect them. Watch his testimony below. I found it quite entertaining in person and I think the Board certainly heard him.

Keep up the good fight, Bill.

  1. If you're ever unsure which side of an issue you should be on, look at where this guy stands and do the opposite. You've got to be kidding me. Perennial candidate and Peter DeStefano supporter Bil Brown? Shame on you guys.

  2. I'd want Brown on my side in this fight, who you got, Christie, Norcross, Sweeney, and a bunch of other pussy democrats who won't stand up and fight for what is best for NJ students. This takeover makes no sense at all, Sweeney's all for it except he has no details, none, but we are supposed to go ahead with this cause he says so.
