A strange question for August to be sure, Save Jerseyans.
But warranted given this week’s unbelievably out-of-character Newsweek cover:
Is Newsweek’s liberal leadership turning over a new ideological leaf? Are they finally realizing that their precipitous circulation decline might have at least something to do with a lack of objective news and analysis?
Or maybe the author, Niall Ferguson, snuck it into the final copy before it went to print?

Barack Obama seemed like a good choice for president four years ago, but now, Newsweek columnist and professor of History at Harvard University Niall Ferguson says it’s time for change. In 2008, Ferguson was just as excited as anyone, but now he’s become disenchanted: “The question confronting the country nearly four years later is not who was the better candidate four years ago. It is whether the winner has delivered on his promises. And the sad truth is that he has not.”
