Never a dull moment, Save Jerseyans.
The State Senate struck back at Governor Chris Christie this afternoon by moving to obstruct his interim appointment of Fredric Knapp as Morris County prosecutor following seven months of legislative inaction on the nomination.
I’m told Senate Democrats relieved the applicable committee of the appointment immediately following the Pledge of Allegiance and quorum was establishment, quickly brought the nomination to the full floor, posted it for a full vote, and promptly failed Knapp.
Republicans and observers were completely broadsided.
Even the liberal Star-Ledger editorial board supported Christie’s decision. Goes to show you how hyper-partisan the legislature has become after a decade of hegemonic Democrat control.
