Friday’s Snow Fell Unevenly Across New Jersey

It could’ve been a lot worse for the Garden State, Save Jerseyans, but the “Nemo” blizzard still managed to blanket North Jersey in anywhere from 5 inches to 2 feet of snow. My native South Jersey escaped with only a coating of the white stuff, while the “deep south” (i.e. LD1) escaped virtually unscathed. There were no reports of major coastal flooding either to the great relief of everyone recovering from Hurricane Sandy at the Jersey Shore.

Significantly higher totals were originally forecasted for Southern and Central Jersey.
Like I said… it could’ve been much worse. New England now ranks Nemo among its top 5 blizzards since they started keeping track. One town — Hamden, CT — received approximately 40 inches of snow over roughly 24 hours. Yikes!
In South Harrison Township, we got a coating, which I was so very happy about!
