If you missed Monday night’s “Ask the Governor” episode on NJ 101.5, Save Jerseyans, then you may not know that England’s Prince Harry will visit NYC and the Jersey Shore this summer.
It’s part of the British government’s new tourism campaign. It’s also a win-win in the optics department for both the Crown and the Christie campaign. The Guv certainly recognizes that and doesn’t see a downside.
“The prince has said he apologizes for his conduct back then. Lots of young people make mistakes,’’ said the Governor to radio listeners. “I certainly don’t want to get all over the prince. I’m thrilled that he wants to come and see the destruction himself first hand and he wants to be helpful. And I’m going to be spending the entire day with Prince Harry.”
Christie was referring to the Prince’s infamous 2012 Las Vegas vacation which resulted in the leak of alleged semi-nude photos of the royal to tabloid media outlets.
