Republicans Mount Ticket in Former Democrat Governor’s Home District

Can you possibly think of a more appropriate professional to challenge state Senator Dick Codey than a property tax attorney, Save Jerseyans!
Few politicians bear as much responsibility for your inflated property tax bills. Perhaps that makes Lee Holtzman (R-Livingston) uniquely qualified to explain why the GOP fiscal vision is superior to the status quo in Trenton.
“Senator Codey has spent almost four decades in Trenton squeezing every possible nickel out of New Jersey taxpayers. We didn’t even have a state income tax until Codey came to Trenton to vote for it,” said Holtzman in a Tuesday afternoon press release. “Every tax and fee increase, every job-killing regulation has had Dick Codey’s fingerprints on it. New Jersey families have been forced to flee the state in droves because Dick Codey has over-taxed them, while personally becoming a multimillionaire on the backs of those that stayed.”
Holtzman is joined on the ticket by firefighter Angelo Tedesco and former Chatham Township Committeewoman Laura Ali. The incumbent Democrats are Mila Jasey and John McKeon who, long time readers may recall, once blamed taxpayers for high property taxes.
The 27th Legislative District includes the North Jersey communities of Caldwell, Chatham Township, East Hanover, Essex Fells, Florham Park, Hanover, Harding, Livingston, Madison, Maplewood, Millburn, Roseland, South Orange, and West Orange.
