New Jersey’s GOP Governor Continues to Wrap Up Key Endorsements

On Wednesday, the National Coalition of Latino Officers (NCLO) announced that its board had voted 17 to 1 to support the Republican Governor’s 2013 reelection bid:

It is an honor to announce our Coalition’s support of Governor Christie, which he has earned for his leadership, his willingness to listen to our concerns, and for always putting the best interests of New Jersey first,” said Officer Antonio Hernandez, President of the Coalition which was formed in 2012. “Our Coalition believes in unity, cooperation and inclusion to best strengthen our communities and keep them safe for the residents we are sworn to protect. We believe Governor Christie shares those values and we’re excited to offer our support.”

The NCLO represents police officers across the northeastern U.S.

  1. Is this a good thing? 9.3 unemployment with a guy looking to establish his pop culture cred for the purpose of re-election and higher office. Christie needs to stop playing small-ball and get serious about reform and transformation.
