May 18th: Save Jersey Visits Jersey Shore for New Jersey Young Republican Convention
By Matt Rooney | The Save Jersey Blog
If there’s one thing that I love more than discussing social media and Jersey politics, Save Jerseyans, it’s discussing those topics at the Jersey Shore in May. Life is always a little bit better with an ocean breeze, isn’t it?
Good news! We’ll be doing just that on Saturday, May 18th at the New Jersey Young Republican Federation Bi-Annual convention in the beautiful Ocean County community of Point Pleasant Beach.
The weekend-long event at the White Sands Oceanfront Resort promises to be one heck of a time. Mark your calendars now…
Details of the full schedule are still forthcoming including the keynote speaker’s identity; at the moment, what you need to know is that Save Jersey will host a breakout class on effectively utilizing social media in the political sphere. Tips, analysis, and a panel of Save Jersey‘s under-40 bloggers will round out the session. We don’t do this kind of thing very often… don’t miss out!
Two other panels are particularly worth your time. Panel One’s stars are State Senator Jennifer Beck, Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon, and Assemblyman Brian Rumpf. A second panel will feature elected officials from the Jersey Shore discussing how they’ve dealt with Hurrican Sandy’s aftermath; participants include Mayor Stephen Acropolis (Brick Township), Mayor Robert Matthies (Seaside Park), Councilman Steven Reid (Point Beach Borough), Council President Robert Sabosik (Point Beach Borough) and Council President Henry Mancini (Stafford Township).
