The first post on Save Jersey went live on May 21, 2008.
That means Tuesday was our 5th Anniversary, Save Jerseyans. Don’t worry… we’re not angry that you forgot to send a card. We nearly forgot about it, too.
And what a 5 years it’s been. Since the Spring 2008, our little site has made more than a few headlines, broke several big stories, hosted dozens of contributors, interviewed at least 100 candidates/public figures, welcomed hundreds of thousands of unique visitors and likely frayed at least as many Trenton liberals’ nerves on a daily basis. It’s been our absolute pleasure! And we hope you’ve had as much fun as we’ve had doing it.
At the very least, when you look at the state of New Jersey’s conservative movement/”rightroots” in May 2008 versus today, I think it’s hard to argue that our side hasn’t made tremendous strides. We’re proud to have played an ongoing role in that important process.
Now we’re moving into a critical stage of the Save Jersey project. Election 2013 may be our “last best chance” to transform the state legislature for several more cycles. We’re going to continue doing our part to get the right information to the right people in cyberspace. All that we ask is for you to keep reading, sharing, and contributing as you’ve loyally done for the past 5 years.
Not a bad deal, right? So enjoy your complimentary slice of digital birthday cake (see above) and let’s get busy…
