A North Jersey native and Rutgers alum, James Gandolfini led a life that was both remarkable in terms of accomplishments but also very familiar to many Garden State residents with very similar life experiences to the late Sopranos star.
Few shows do as good a job of peeling back the layers and getting to that information than James Lipton’s Inside the Actors Studio. At one point towards the end of the interview, Lipton asked Gandolfini “what would you like to hear God say at the pearly gates?”
“Take over for a while, I’ll be right back,” he responded. The room erupted in laughter…
