The Obama Administration clearly favors a Middle Eastern foreign policy whereby the U.S. supports supplanting evil yet stable dictators with radical Islamic regimes, Save Jerseyans.
It’s insane.
Unbelievably, our own state’s congressional delegation isn’t so sure. Sen. Bob Menendez (D-Dominican Republic) is definitely voting for a strike (we already know how much he loves foreign entanglements); Rep. Rush Holt (D-12) is definitely voting NAY, and Scott Garrett is reportedly leaning in that direction as well. However, according to The Washington Post, New Jersey’s eleven other congressmen (including Sen. Jeff Chiesa) are reportedly undecided or simply declining to comment altogether on a pending resolution to authorize military action against Syria. I’ve been unable to garner any additional info as of Noon Tuesday.
Let’s get busy. Take a quick moment out of the afternoon to let YOUR representatives know that, in your considered opinion, the definition of insanity is Obama, Kerry, McCain & Co. demanding that American soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen die for Al-Qaeda in Syria, and that you will be voting accordingly next November (h/t ContactingtheCongress.org):
