From the National Journal – list of “biggest losers”
GOP House Candidate Tom MacArthur
When comes to financial disclosures, big numbers don’t always mean big support. New Jersey Republican Tom MacArthur, for example, brought in $2,001,075 in the first quarter—but the first $2 million of that was a personal loan.
Now, it is probably better to be the guy with $2 million in the bank than it is to be his opponent, but the total lack of outside fundraising by the main candidate standing between the controversial Steve Lonegan and the GOP nomination in a vulnerable, open congressional district might raise a red flag or two about his level of support.
This article appears in the April 15, 2014 edition of NJ Daily.

Got that?
HE took a loan for 2 million, so now he will have to pay the juice on that, to give the APPEARANCE of strength, rather than the REALITY. The REAL question is, who did he BORROW IT FROM?
Lonegan, at least, can vote for himself. So can his wife. MacArthur purchased a potential rental property in the district, but his wife is still registered in Randolph, NJ.
In fact, MacArthur has violated the same election law that has Woodbridge/Sayreville/South Plainfield Judge Spencer Robbins (a Democrat) charged with election fraud at this writing (the charges brought by a Republican who lost an election). For consistency alone, the Ocean County Prosecutor is duty bound to charge MacArthur with the same crime – but, as a member of the Republican “Gilmore” machine, will he? If he does not, he had best resign, as his bias is a danger to the people he swore to serve.

Like Robbins, MacArthur has registered to vote at an address he DOES NOT LIVE AT (– per the maintenance staff, the HOA, and the fact that the penny I left under the edge of his door was still there two weeks later. His reported address is a short two-block walk from my employer’s office.), which means he can’t even legally vote for himself, and either doesn’t give a damn about the law, or is clueless…neither being a flattering position to be in.
Receiving “the line” from the Ocean County Republican Committee?
$ 25,000.00
Receiving “the line” from the Burlington County Republican Leadership?
ANOTHER $ 25,000.00
On the hook for 2 Million in borrowed funds, and losing to Lonegan in the primary?
Priceless.

Considering the fact that Lonegan is still listing Bergen County as his residence as of 2 weeks ago on government documents he is the last one to talk about where someone lives until he lives in the district.
MacArthur is going to cry like a small child if Lonegan wins. 2M of his own money down the tube? Dang.
I am not supporting Mr. Lonegan, but he has moved to Lavallette, and is now registered to vote in the district. I have the list for my own purposes.
Oh, and it’s not MacArthur’s money – it’s borrowed funds. He’s posted it – he hasn’t spent it.
160 Republican Leaders were sold three magic beans…if that is a truthful list. I will be checking individually later today.
Interesting search…York Risk Services Group and “RICO”
Can we read that letter anywhere? I bet he gave Lonegan a dirty look, too.
