Cory Booker has $1,815,704 in the bank, Save Jerseyans.
Unfortunately for Jane and John Taxpayer, all four of his potential GOP general election rivals are trailing by a wide margin at the end of Quarter #1.
In first place, based upon what we know so far (not all reports are processed and posted yet at the FEC site):
Murray Sabrin
Raised: $50,000 ($13,000 from self-loan and wife)
COH: $43,000
Jeff Bell
Raised: $35,804
COH: $17,940
Brian Goldberg
Raised: $4,800 ($3,700 self-loan)
Spending: TBD
Rich Pezzullo
Raised: TBD
COH: $2,600
Reports from Bergen Record say Goldberg has under $1k COH.
And also state that Pezzullo filed earlier than Sabrin and Goldberg. That said, most funders are sitting out the primary especially in-state, so these numbers can’t really be expected to stack up to Booker’s.
So Sabrin has no support and tons of money, and Goldberg has tons of support and no money, and Bell has some money but no support, and Pezzullo has some support but no money. If this isn’t the most ridiculous primary, I don’t know what is.
What a clown parade. Not that it matters much in November, one can raise 50 mil and Booker (D-Gay Hollywood) still outmatches it with ease.
Goldberg filed with $1,069 COH, placing him in dead last. That’s a serious problem for him.
