We’re happy to announce that one of our own is seeking high office, Save Jerseyans.
This month, regular Save Jersey contributor Synnove Bakke (R-East Brunswick) will formally announce her intention to challenge in New Jersey’s Middlesex-based 18th Legislative District. Synnove told her extensive social media followering that she had “made final decision last week” and more news would be forthcoming soon.
It’s not an easy nut to crack. Formerly represented by Barbara Buono in the State Senate, Republican Robert Bengivenga (R-South Plainfield) fell 2,643 votes short of defeating Assembly newcomer Nancy Pinkin who was recruited to replace Peter Barnes (Buono’s chosen successor). Bakke needs to take on Pinkin and the top of the ticket, veteran Patrick Diegnan Jr., if successful in the spring primary.
A wife, mother, veteran of Middlesex GOP politics, and an extremely-active conservative voice in the social media sphere (@JerzyLuv2A) particularly on issues related to Second Amendment rights, Synnove Bakke was born in New Jersey to immigrant parents but moved back to Norway as an infant where she lived throughout her childhood and young adult years. She returned to the U.S. after graduating from nursing school to work as an au pair for one year; she quickly fell in love with the United States and never relocated back to Norway.
Best of Luck!
Good luck!!!
Just great. Are you going to drop out of this race like you did your council race?
