That’s according to The Observer, Save Jerseyans, parent stem of the NJ Advance Media/NJ.com/Star-Ledger political page’s arch-rival PolitickerNJ.com of which Matt Friedman is an alumnus.
His new home, POLITICO, is seeking to expand its operations at the state-level beginning with Florida and the Garden State.
Good stuff all around! Expanded competition and coverage of New Jersey politics, often neglected by a media establishment dominated by NYC and Philly in the pre-Christie years, is undeniably a good thing for democracy. And Matt is a honest broker, too, who I’ve enjoyed reading and occasionally interacting with over the last few years.
We wish him all the best in his new role.
