If it’s all about staying on the September 16th debate stage at the Reagan Library, Save Jerseyans, than Chris Christie is having a solid morning.
A new Quinnipiac Poll out Thursday morning finds him in 8th place nationally with 4%, which while not a fantastic result in of itself could nevertheless help secure a spot in the next debate (other recent surveys showed him dangerously dropping into 11th). To make sure it happens, in between fundraisers in Philly and Maryland today, the Governor will attempt to further boost his national polling position is appearing on Fox & Friends, CBS This Morning, CNBC’S Squawk Box, and The Mike Gallagher Show.

As for the macro-presidential contest? Not much good news for Hillary Clinton or Jeb Bush, for starters, and there’s a little more evidence that Donald Trump might have a primary ceiling, but I think this quote from the Quinnipiac press release sums it up nicely for Electon 2016’s three most famous names:
‘Liar’ is the first word that comes to mind more than others in an open-ended question when voters think of Clinton. ‘Arrogant’ is the word for Trump and voters say ‘Bush’ when they think of Bush.”
So much for Jeb! I guess…
__________
The word for Christie was “Who?”
When I think of Chistie I think of the word arrogant
As I understand it, CNN rules would exclude most recent poll results from determining top 10 standing for the second debate. That shortsightedness may or may not eliminate Christie, but would likely eliminate Fiorina.., which would be a far worse outcome IMHO
“CNN published its debate criteria in May, saying it would average major polls from July 16 through Sept. 10 in order to come up with the top 10 candidates that will make it into the main debate.” http://thehill.com/blogs/ballot-box/gop-primaries/252014-cnn-defends-debate-criteria
How about “PORK” “The other White Meat”!
One day he is up the next day he is down — as long as he is not the Republican nominee i really could care less.
