It’s Veterans Day, Save Jerseyans, so our friend Tom MacArthur (R, NJ-03) and NJ 101.5’s Bill Spadea got together on the radio this morning to talk about some of what the freshman Congressman is doing to help New Jersey veterans including his first bill to pass the House – H.R. 22: “Hire More Heroes Act” – incentivizing small businesses to hire veterans by making it so hiring veterans who already have health care don’t count towards the notorious ACA small business 50 full-time employee benchmark.
Getting government off the back of small business owners who want to hire veterans but can’t afford the health care expense? It’s a win-win no brainer! At least for those of us who choose to use our brains…
It’s rare down in D.C. We just found out today that Veterans Affairs paid out $142 million in bonuses during its recent scandal.
