‘Anti-Abortion terrorism’ is a top concern for N.J.-based Jewish group

The Jewish community is sadly all too familiar with various forms of terrorism.

Unfortunately, not every group which claims to speak for the community has its priorities in order.

The left-wing Essex County Section of the National Council of Jewish Women believes there is not enough discussion on the issue of “anti-abortion terrorism” so they are hosting a lunch and learn event on January 21st to talk about it while simultaneously commemorating the Roe v. Wade decision.

I know what you are thinking, Save Jerseyans: “Thank goodness someone is tackling the issue of anti-abortion terrorism right now. With all of the violent pro-life terrorists running around New Jersey, it’s about time people acknowledge this widespread, growing problem head on!”

Okay… maybe that’s not what you are thinking. I sure wasn’t when this event’s existence first came to my attention!

So maybe you are thinking something more like, “Why are they focusing on abortion related terrorism when Islamic terrorism is a prevailing issue for Jews, and all of America RIGHT NOW?” or “Doesn’t a women’s group have other more important issues they could be focusing on?”

Alright – I’m done assuming what you are thinking!

Don’t get me wrong: like 99.999% of pro-lifers, I find any type of anti-abortion violence immoral, contemptible, and counterproductive towards the goal of addressing the human rights issue of abortion.

I also find it despicable for liberal women to conflate the anniversary of the dreadful Roe decision with terrorism in order to justify a barbaric practice.

The theatrical title of this event is no less insulting. “Living in the Crosshairs” educes scenes of war or a gang shootout in Camden or Newark, not abortion clinic terror attacks that are so rare and outside of the norm that when one does happen, it’s all we hear about for weeks.

There is no shortage of issues broadly affecting Jewish Americans (or women), yet because liberalism trumps religion every single time, issues like this become a focus. The event is being co-sponsored by countless pro-abortion organizations, including BlueWaveNJ, Center for Reproductive Rights, League of Women Voters of New Jersey, New Jersey Abortion Access Fund (NJAAF), Planned Parenthood Action Fund of NJ, and Sierra Club, to name a few.

Event organizer Phoebe Pollinger, described the reason for addressing this topic:

We have chosen to highlight anti-abortion domestic terrorism because the media does not and therefore people don’t think about it. We need to call it what it is—terrorism— and bring it to light.”

The media also chooses not to bring to light the thousands of preborn children that are killed every single year. The media chooses not to bring to light the women who find themselves depressed and suicidal after they have an abortion. The media also chooses not to highlight stories of abortion survivors; men and women who are thankful that their mother chose life for them despite imperfect circumstances.

The National Council of Jewish Women could be talking about these stories, but they aren’t because abortion is a holy grail to the Left.

Liberals treat their political views as a religion in and of itself. According to a 2012 Jewish values survey, the Public Religion Research Institute found that 95% of Jewish Democrats support legalized abortion. When so-called ‘religious people’ of any faith also self-identify as liberals, you better believe they are liberals first and foremost. While this is especially true in the American Jewish community where there is overwhelming support for abortion, it’s not exclusive to that community; Nancy Pelosi, a “Catholic,” is another example of a liberal who sets aside her religion to worship at the altar of liberalism.

Groups like the NCJW claim to be concerned with “progress” and “rights.”

Real progress will only be achieved when people acknowledge the humanity of the preborn and their individual right to life.
