It’s an old story but an interesting one with new life given that Donald Trump is moving closer to a legitimate shot at the White House, Save Jerseyans.
How close was he to Robert LiButti?
According to his profile on the Division of Gaming Enforcement’s Exclusion List, LiButti lost around $12 million at four Atlantic City casinos between September 1984 and October 1990. He also received complimentaries in excess of $3.5 million.
His daughter, Edith Creamer, now alleges Trump’s relationship with the reputed Gotti associate extended far beyond Trump’s denial of the existence of one.
“He’s a liar,” Creamer explained to Yahoo News., who said her father flew in Trump’s helicopter, hung out with his family and even hosted Trump at her birthday party… at Trump Plaza. “Of course he knew him. I flew in the [Trump] helicopter with [Trump’s then wife] Ivana and the kids. My dad flew it up and down [to Atlantic City]. My 35th birthday party was at the Plaza and Donald was there. After the party, we went on his boat, his big yacht. I like Trump, but it pisses me off that he denies knowing my father. That hurts me.”
There’s more, too, including a massive fine (for the time) for the casino related to alleged racist activities surrounding the reputed mob associate’s gambling habits.
