The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit will now decided whether the people of New Jersey get to see how deep, or wide, the Bridgegate rabbit hole goes.

On Monday, a three judge panel sitting in Philadelphia entertained oral argument over the fate of a single document. The document in question is a January 2016 letter authored by U.S Attorney Paul Fishman and subsequently sent to a federal judge. It lists alleged Bridgegate co-conspirators.

At the beginning of May, U.S. District Judge Susan Wigenton of the District of New Jersey granted a motion brought by major regional and national news outlets to obtain the list of Bridgegate co-conspirators. The U.S Attorney aggressively argued against the release on Monday.

You can read more about the oral argument before the Third Circuit over at New Jersey Law Journal. An order could come down any time.

Bill Baroni and Bridget Kelly, former senior Christie lieutenants, are presently awaiting trial on criminal charges stemming from the now-infamous 2013 Fort Lee lane closures.
