Christie fires back at former aide after emotional testimony

Governor Chris Christie has remained mostly silent throughout the ongoing Bridgegate trial, Save Jerseyans, but after co-defendant Bridget Ann Kelly’s emotional Friday testimony in which she pointedly accused him of knowing all about the lane closures, the Governor fired back.

“As the Governor has said since January 9, 2014, the Governor had no knowledge prior to or during these lane realignments, and he had no role in authorizing them. Anything said to the contrary is simply untrue,” said Brian Murray, Governor Chris Christie’s Press Secretary, in a statement.
