According to The Associated Press, an Election Law Enforcement Commission spokesman has confirmed that Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno, a former prosecutor and sheriff, filed her paperwork to enter the Republican primary earlier Thursday.
Guadagno has served as Chris Christie’s second-in-command since January 2010 despite a cold and, as of late, increasingly and openly divergent political relationship between the two senior GOP officials.
