
Earlier today, Save Jerseyans, Jersey City Mayor Steve Fulop signed an executive order that his office says will solidify the city’s position on being a “sanctuary city” for immigrants who entered the country illegally:

Fulop’s move comes as a direct response to an executive order signed by President Trump that effectively put cities and counties on notice that they would lose federal funding if they did not cooperate with immigration agents.
Also worth noting: Never too far from the spotlight, Senator Cory Booker (D-Twitter) gathered with six of his fellow Democrats to announce the proposal of new legislation to prohibit state and local authorities from arresting people for suspected immigration offenses.
